Park is not related to the word «parking»
A large number of different overpasses are under construction today in Sochi. It’s too late to rebel against these projects, which passed the state examination. It’s time to think about what will happen under flyovers: parking or public parks? Parks can provide a good compensation for the inconvenience to citizens caused by Olympic construction.
Construction of school № 38 in the sovkhoz «Russia» is vigorous
To date, the old building is completely demolished. Two of the four blocks of the new schools already have a roof, finishing works are underway. The foundation is fully ready. Project completion is scheduled in the late of 2010.

V.V. Barsova’s Villa is to be repaired
In preparing the city for the Olympics in 2014, the authorities are paying attention to cultural sites as well. Among them is the house-museum of Russian opera singer V.V. Barsova (1892-1967), who was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre from 1920 to 1947. After retiring Barsov settled in Sochi, where the villa designed by architect I.A. Lublinsky has been built in 1947. Renewal of the museum «Villa of the singer V.V. Barsova» is set to complete by the end of this year.
Large excavation of archaeological sites in the Imereti lowland
Scientists of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences conduct archaeological excavations near construction sites of Olympic arenas in Sochi . These works are part of the project «Protection of Imereti lowland». A settlement dated by V-VI centuries BC is already excavated. Excavation of the early Christian Church dated by VIII-X centuries begin in September.

Real estate of a new format will appear on Sochi’s market
Agency «NDV-Nedvizhimost» together with the company «PST» introduces new apartment complex «Morskaya Symphonia» («Sea Symphony»). On five acres, 7 towers in height from 60 to 70 meters will be erected on common podium. Apartments in the residential complex represents a new format of real estate — holiday apartments.

Construction of the hospital in Krasnaya Polyana is complete
Health care facilities began to be erected among the first for the Olympics in 2014. Construction of the hospital for 150 beds in Krasnaya Polyana began in the beginning of last year. After a year, a small mountain hospital complex is almost ready. The hospital will be commissioned later this year, after it will be equipped with medical equipment.
Concert Hall «Festivalny» returned to municipal ownership
Arbitration Court of Krasnodar region declared illegal the agreement reached earlier between former Deputy Head of Sochi and the «Sochi-Festivalny» company.
The construction of the unique mountain bridge
Protrusion of bridge spans over stream Sulimovsky has begun on the access road to the sites of mountain cluster of Olympic facilities. Such technologies are usual in construction of bridges over the river bed, but it’s the first time they are being conducted at an altitude of almost 1000 meters above sea level and in tricky mountainous geological conditions.

Зd presentation of the project Gorky Goroda 540 and 960
Cities 540 and 960 — resort towns, which will rise at Krasnaya Polyana by 2014. 530 and 960 — are the heights above sea level, where they are located. They will be linked with each other by motorway and ropeway roads. During the 2014 Olympic Games, media villages for journalists will be accommodated in those towns. They will become a ski resort after Olympics.
