Installation of a metal skeleton of a dome of the Big Ice Arena has begun
Builders of NPO «Mostovik» launched the installation of metal skeleton of a dome of the Big Ice Hockey Arena in the Olympic Park. Metal parts for the dome have started to arrive to the construction site on July 22. Installation of the dome of the Big Ice Arena for ice hockey will be completed till the end of 2010.
Birthday of the director of the House of the Architects
On August, 10th, Korolyova Lyudmila Vasilievna, the director of the Sochi House of the Architects, has celebrated her birthday.
The project of reconstruction of hotel «Primorskaya» from «Ginsburg Architects»
The main building of hotel «Primorskaya» has been built on Primorsky boulevard in 1936, the project of architect Yan Andreevich Rehbain. The project is executed by the architectural workshop «Ginsburg Architects» and provides preservation not only for the main building, built in 1936, but also for later additions along Sokolov street.

Hospitality on loan
On August 10, Anatoly Pakhomov, the Mayor of Sochi, revealed details of a project to establish the areas of international hospitality in the city. These zones must be met within a unified architectural and landscaping concepts, in accordance with the requirements of the IOC.
Repairs in Khostinsky and Adler Houses of Culture
Khostinsky and Adler Houses of Culture are closing for repairs in accordance with the Regional Target Program «Ensuring the construction of Olympic facilities and development of Sochi as a mountain climatic and spa resort».
Opening of the first section of the combined road Adler — «Alpika-Service» (6 km)
The long-term traffic volume on this put into operation section of the road is 25,2 thousand cars a day. However, residents of Adler questioned the need for this highway after the Winter Olympic Games in 2014.

On Wednesday, August 11, 2010 has held the joint meeting of the Public Urban Council under the chairmanship of Olga Kozinskaya and the Public Ecological Council under the chairmanship of Valery Suchkov. Consideration was given to the concept of reconstruction seaside promenade, its engineering solutions and evaluation of the impact on environment.
